  • Commencement Salary: $93,165 pro rata per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role 

This position will contribute to the research efforts of the UniSA Justice & Society Academic Unit in the provision of research related activities and support on the project titled “Rebuilding Life After Migration for Young Refugees and Migrants” in collaboration with the Australian Research Council.  

Required research activities include proactively supporting and contributing to high quality research, competitive research grant activities, and active participation in research concentrations and other relevant collaborative forums, to deliver high quality research outcomes to meet the Excellence in Research in Australia (ERA) criteria.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Collect, analyse and assist with the interpretation of statistical data; as well as prepare and draft information independently and as a member of a team
  • Liaise with academics, researchers, and other research participants including organising and attending meetings associated with the evaluation being conducted
  • Leading and providing editorial support in production of papers including proof reading, word processing, compilation of reference lists and formatting of papers into journal style
  • Conduct comprehensive literature, media, website and archival searches; including the preparation of literature reviews and analysis of research data
  • Provide research support in completing ethics applications for projects; and collecting, analysing, and preparing data in the development of tender submissions, grant applications, reports and scholarly articles

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • A PhD qualification in a Social Sciences related discipline
  • Expertise in statistics
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage research projects
  • Highly developed research, analytical, information literacy and report writing skills for conference papers and educational publications
  • Demonstrated ability to locate, analyse, compile, and edit relevant literature and research data for the production of research reports, conference papers, and manuscripts for refereed journals
