Lead Software Engineer – Digital

How will I help?

Are you a talented software engineer who loves working in the digital space and enjoying a different challenge each day? We are looking for people to join the digital wealth technology engineering teams to ensure that our platform (BT Panorama) runs smoothly.

BT Panorama is a market leading Wealth platform with a large development pipeline of work projected for the coming year.

As a Lead Software Engineer – Digital,  you will be working with our project teams, environment support and operational teams:

  • ​Providing a first point of contact on production and non-production issues (non-project) between the environment support, operational teams for issues being escalated to the engineering team
  • Identifying areas of key pain points and risk and propose strategic solutions to mitigate and reduce re-occurrence of issues
  • Proving SME and governance support over BAU fixes performed by operational support teams.
  • Being accountable for setting and delivery on the asset lifecycle management agenda for upgrades of existing components

This role can be interstate and does not require a Sydney based location.

What do I need?

  • Prior experience with Java, Springboot, Spring frameworks and Apache Cassandra
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern architectural patterns (eg. Microservices)
  • Proven results in problem solving within a complex working environment
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to various levels of stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
  • Energy and enthusiasm to use technical solutions to solve customer problems
  • A relentless drive to improve processes
  • A deep understanding of software engineering principles and current technical directions
  • A desire to become a lynchpin player in a team covering solution design, engineering and operations and to build and share knowledge within our community
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring of junior members.
