The Position & The Organisation
  
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Human Resource Graduate to work for a state government department. As a HR graduate, you will be responsible for providing high quality support services and guidance to relevant stakeholders throughout the employment lifecycle, ensuring best practice and timely customer-focused outcomes which are in accordance with relevant legislation, internal policies and procedures and applicable enterprise agreements and awards. To be successful in this role you will be a recent human resource graduate who is looking for a kick start to their career, you will be highly organised, have a strong attention to detail and a strong administrative focus.

The organisation is a state government department based in the CBD, offering hybrid and very flexible working arrangements and a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. This role will offer autonomy and allow the successfully applicant to grow, develop and take charge of their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to identify and drive the continual improvement of HR processes;
  • The ability to work under pressure within a high-functioning team in an environment of competing priorities and demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks within strict deadlines;
  • Provision of timely and accurate day to day operational human resource advice;
  • Maintain accurate and up to date record keeping;
  • Preparation of reports, updating of HR registers and completing HR administrative duties. 

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related business management discipline;
  • Highly level of administration skills and high attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence, lead, coach and develop others;
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, and have ability to multi-task and switch focus to prioritise tasks as required
