Team Leader – Finished Goods

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Team leadership

• Accountable for the leadership of the finishing, yard and dispatch operators- up to 20
• Assigning daily tasks to team members
• Monitor work performance, staff reviews, appraisals, performance management
• Ensure safe operating procedures are being followed
• Oversee inspections and management of inspection records
• Ensure all team members are operating machinery and forklifts in a safe manner

Finishing:

• Ensure team are working effectively in a timely and safe manner
• Ensure product transfer to storage location is timely and conducted in a safe manner
• Ensure the finishing and repair process is being conducted accurately and within company guidelines

Storage:

• Maintenance of yard area
• Ensure the products are stored in correct manner
• Ensure safety when team members are operating the forklifts

Dispatch

• Review of daily schedules
• working closely with the Dispatch coordinator
• Ensure team members are working effectively in dispatch area
• Ensure products are being loaded correctly
• Ensure the process for all damaged products is being managed correctly
• Ensure all team members are operating is a safe manner and following all company processes.

Purchasing

• Ordering of materials and consumables
• Management of paperwork, data entry and managing any invoicing issue

This role would most suit someone that has heavy manufacturing experience in a leadership role.

Must haves:

• a current drivers licence
• a current forklift licence
• a min of 12 months exp in a similar role
• Sound general computer knowledge
• Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

This role is Monday to Friday with occasional weekend overtime.

$30 per hour + $25 Leading hand daily allowance
