    About the role

    QLS has full time and permanent opportunity for an Events Administrator to join the Membership and Engagement team.

    We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Events Administrator to provide administrative support for a variety of in-person, hybrid and virtual/online events including corporate functions, workshops, conferences, and online sessions both locally and regionally.

    Some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • To provide administrative support to the Events Management team Provide administrative assistance in event preparation, including drafting chair notes and letters, collating event feedback and statistics, managing registrations and transfers, collation of pre-event materials such as name badges, and other event tasks. Arranging transportation of event equipment to offsite events. Manage the registration desk at events, the concierge desk at conferences, and monitor virtual event attendance and performance. Assist the Event Manager with updating and managing the event planner and calendar. Coordinate and manage all logistical aspects for online events as allocated to you by the Events Manager. Assist event coordinators and event owners with the collation and completion of event evaluation reports. Manage the events email inbox and phone line with timely processing of daily phone calls and emails regarding registrations and general enquiries. Management of on-demand content and resources including creating listings in the online store, email notifications to purchasers and uploading of recordings. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and QLS members.
  • To succeed in this role you will have:

  • An Event Administrator at QLS is an entry-level role suitable for those who are wishing to pursue a career event management.
  • Degree or Diploma in Event Management preferred
  • At least 1-year experience in Event Management advantageous
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines.
  • Attentive to detail and delivers a high standard of work
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
  • Takes ownership of, and responsibility for own work.
