Multiple Casual Positions – Flinders Private Hospital

Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated, known as ACHA Health, is one of the largest private not-for-profit hospital groups in South Australia. ACHA Health comprises Ashford Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and The Memorial Hospital. 

Flinders Private Hospital are currently recruiting Food Services Assistants to join our busy and supportive department on a casual basis. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding customer service to our patients and medical professionals. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Serve, deliver and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
• Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
• Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital/food industry safety and hygiene standards
• Adherence to Food Safety Plan monitoring systems

Flinders Private Hospital is a private not-for-profit 152 bed hospital which offers a range of specialties including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, ENT surgery, general medicine, general surgery, gynaecology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, plastic & reconstructive surgery, oncology and urology. Flinders Private Hospital has 9 operating theatres, a procedure room, 3 angiography labs, an Infusion Suite, a 24/7 Cardiac Emergency Service and a 10 bed level 3 critical care unit.

Essential Criteria:

• South Australian DHS Working with Children Clearance
• Prior experience in Hospitality
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service in an empathetic manner
• Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts over 7 days – AM shifts starting at 0600 and PM shifts finishing 2100 including weekends
• 25 hours plus available per week – $30.34 per hour (note figure includes 25% casual loading)
• 15% afternoon and 50% weekend penalty rates
