Warehouse Assistant, Adelaide
What is the job about?
Key to this role is the to ensure that the Warehouse Team supports Production and Supply Chain in the delivery to customers’ expectations. Safe operation is paramount, high accuracy in stock position, picking accuracy and rotation of stock.
Your main responsibilities:
Ensure all inbound products are inspected and received safely, accurately and on time. Ensure products are located safely in the storage provisions and recorded accurately in the ERP System. Ensure all outbound products are picked from the designated pick bin, despatched accurately, on time and safely in accordance with Chain of Responsibility legislation. Ensure the Goods Issue process is completed correctly in the ERP system. Report Quality issues to the Warehouse Team Leader for non-conforming stock. Report stock discrepancies to the warehouse Team Leader for corrective actions. Load and unload transport vehicles safely. Support stock accuracy through periodic cycle counts and participation in annual stocktakes to confirm accurate stock levels. Ensure to participate in cross-training to lift the skill levels of all members allowing to support each other in absences. Ensure all tools, and machinery (ie Forklifts, packing tools etc is maintained. Report any tools, machinery, equipment or processes that are unsafe or defective and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented. Use the consultation process to identify opportunities for change or improvement in processes/procedures. Participate in daily safety checks and weekly team meetings and follow up on outcomes. We imagine that you have:
3 + years’ experience in a high volume, Warehouse preferred. Qualifications/ Certification in the safe operation of Forklift and ReachTruck Forklifts Pleasant and professional disposition. Capable of portraying the Grundfos Corporate image as the first point of contact. Adaptable to change and process improvements.
