The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the ADF’s Cyber Domain. Multiple positions (APS 5, 6 & EL 1) are available in our dedicated and enthusiastic team working to define, coordinate and develop ADF Cyber Warfighting Capabilities. 

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that assist in providing strategic direction and advancing capabilities for the Defence Cyber Domain. You will support the development of cyber domain doctrine, concepts, strategies and plans and provide advice and coordination to seniors on behalf of the cyber domain. You will assist in the development of international cyberspace capacity ensuring the integration of cyber capabilities at a domain level and their promotion across five eyes partners.

The role will undertake extensive stakeholder engagement across the Joint Force, Services, Defence, and international partners to ensure the successful development of Joint capabilities. The role may also include representation on behalf of the Cyber Domain with international partners through working groups, war-gaming and providing high level strategic briefings, on Defence’s cyber capabilities to international partners.

About our Team
Cyber Warfare Division is the central touch point for the Services, Industry, and international partners, responsible for driving and delivering the ADF’s joint cyber capability. Cyber Warfare Division leads the ADF Cyber Domain and key fundamental inputs to capability that helps generates cyber warfare, information and electronic warfighting capabilities for the Joint Force. 

Within the Division, Cyber Warfare Force Development Branch leads the development and coordination of the ADF’s Cyber Warfighting Capability on behalf of the Chief of Joint Capabilities. Our team provides strategic direction for the Cyber Domain through the development strategy, concepts, doctrine and through joint experimentation.

Our team in support of Head Cyber Warfare, leads and coordinates the ADF, Defence, ASD, WoG, partner and allied ADF Cyber Domain engagement to meet Cyber Domain objectives. You will join an integrated, fast-paced team, passionate about advancing the ADF Cyber Warfighting Capability in support of Defence’s mission.

Our Ideal Candidate
Prior experience in a cyber or intelligence related role is preferred but not essential. Experience in the drafting and development of military doctrine and concepts is preferred as well as an understanding of Joint Capabilities and integrated warfighting.

A broad understanding of the Defence organisation is desirable. You will enjoy working across a variety of tasks supporting Head Cyber Warfare to achieve organisational objectives, while continuing to pursue your own self-development goals.
