The Advisor Freight Sales Support is part of the team providing operational and technical support to all Australia based sales team members and customers. The purpose of the role is to provide the sales team support that enables the sales team to sell more effectively and focus their time on revenue generating activities. The position limits escalations beyond sales support by managing customer requests for support – providing the support or delegating to the most appropriate business area.

The role initiates and owns the streamlining of internal processes that help build or enhance customer relationships and manage internal requests for customer engagement/follow up. It has responsibility for ongoing/scheduled tasks as well as ad-hoc requests for support from the freight sales and leadership teams. Each task or activity undertaken should improve service delivery, drive continuous improvement or streamline operational processes. The role identifies, recommends and implements enhancements to processes both internally and externally.

In the role you will be required to:

  • Provide superior knowledge and advice on all freight related products, services, policies and procedures and communicate to internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Maintain processes ongoing tasks (reporting, follow up of account managers, scheduled internal meetings etc) and conduct related duties (maintain agendas, meeting minutes, meeting rosters, reporting).

  • Respond to customer or internal requests for support that balance customer needs with internal revenue, operational and cost targets, relating but not limited to rates, pricing and customer claims (credits and shipment related claims).

  • Act as an escalation point above customer service on service issues, concerns or questions.
