THE OPPORTUNITY

This Internal Sales Traineeship will give you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn with a leading stable national employer. Statewide Bearings is one of Australia’s most trusted bearing suppliers, offering an extensive range of bearing lubrication, power transmission, pumps, and linear motion products. This large Australian owned company has multiple branches in each state with various opportunities for progression in all areas of business.

Undertaking this 12-month business traineeship will give you the opportunity to complete your Certificate III in Business Customer Engagement (BSB30120) with potential to lead to a second year completing a Certificate IV in Leadership Management (BSB40520) whilst getting paid!

The key responsibilities are: 

  • Answering and responding to phone and email internal sales
  • Process current and outstanding orders
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Liaison and communicate with internal procurement team to achieve customer deliveries
  • Managing sales questions from customers to secure and new orders
  • Collaborate with sales team to understand customer requirements and provide support
  • Ability to prioritise and effectively manage time
  • Assist customers solve problems with installed equipment
  • Physically fit to assist with stores work as required
  • Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met

ABOUT YOU

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • The desire to learn and a positive attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform manual handling duties, including frequent lifting of up to 15kgs
  • Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and methodical approach
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and/or drug & alcohol test
  • Forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
