How will I help?

The purpose of this role is to provide technical leadership expertise in the delivery of solutions in the Loan Originations and Secured/Unsecured Lending related projects. The Banking platform team has several exciting projects that enable new features for our Digital, Lender and Broker Channels.    

The role will predominantly be responsible for leading the analysis, design and proposing ‘fit for purpose’ IT and business solutions to meet the requirements of projects across the Banking Platform portfolio.

The role will operate predominantly in an Agile environment and as such, will be required to support the technology capabilities to effectively deliver value to customers.

You will be responsible for leading and managing solution design outcomes for complex systems, selecting appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures they are applied effectively.

You will review others’ systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology.

A key requirement of this role will be to contribute to policies for selection of architecture components, evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options, and assesses and manage associated risks. You will ensure that the system design balances functional, service quality, security and systems management requirements.

You will provide strong technical leadership to develop functional and technical solutions with the goal of providing reliable, stable and operationally sound applications that meet business requirements, and also collaborate with various teams across the bank to ensure strong relationships are maintained and technology requirements are understood.

What do I need?

To be successful you will have the following experience and/or skills:

  • Expertise in Oracle Banking Platform
  • Experience in banking domains ideally Loan Originations, Lending (Secured/Unsecured), Digital Origination and Integration using REST APIs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills using an open, clear and engaging manner
  • JAVA, J2EE, Oracle BPM, OBP Host, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), REST API, MicroServices, Kafka
  • Oracle ADF, Oracle SOA
  • Oracle Weblogic Server, Apache Tomcat
  • Web services, WSDL, SOAP, XSD, XML, JSON/YAML
  • Oracle 12c or any SQL databases
  • Jira and Confluence
  • Version control using BitBucket
  • Issue root cause analysis using tools like Splunk, SQL Developer, AppDynamics and Eternity
  • Experience working on a Core banking implementation (will be an advantage)
