About the role:

The Senior Campaign Advisor position primarily focuses on work related to the Victoria Police Recruitment Campaign and is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation and evaluation of marketing and communications campaigns; ensuring campaigns are evidence-based, effective and based on best-practice marketing approaches. Additionally, a large part of this position is responsible for internal and external stakeholder engagement.

Your duties will include:

  • Lead the design, development, implementation and evaluation of marketing and communications campaigns, ensuring campaigns are evidence-based, effective and based on best-practice marketing approaches.
  • Lead the campaign management process; including procurement, contract management, research, creative development media buying and digital and marketing agencies to ensure delivery of activities within agreed timelines and budget parameters, and adherence to Victoria Police and State Government policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver communications and media activities to support campaign activities and initiatives. This includes the writing of research, creative, marketing and media agency briefs and developing content for social media, digital advertising, and printed material.
  • Support the work of the department in delivering a multi-faceted communications campaign through assistance in identifying communications, media, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as research, creative and media buy agencies.
  • Maintain efficient and compliant records management.
  • As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in marketing and communications, with a demonstrated ability to prepare and implement strategies and identify proactive communications opportunities.
  • Experience in managing large and complex advertising campaigns inclusive of leading research, creative development and media buy planning and implementation.
  • Experience in paid digital and social media advertising including content management systems, website analytic tools and email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to prepare high quality communication materials on complex issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop constructive relationships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders and having initiative to identify opportunities or risks.
  • A good understanding of the intricacies of working within government, with an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • A strong desire to deliver quality work and approach problems creatively.
  • Requirements and relevant information:

  • One x full-time, fixed term position available until 30 June .
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
