About the Role

:

As the Administrative Officer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform a variety of day to day administrative and support services that are routine in nature and directed by the Principal or the Business Manager.
  • Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquires), correspondence and general administration, maintaining school records, processing incoming and outgoing mail and emails.
  • Prepare reports, forms and other correspondence.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. school and departmental staff, parents, students, and community members); provide information and advice in line with school policies and/or Principal directives; and demonstrate empathy, emotional understanding and support.
  • Student attendance/roll marking.
  • Other duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.
  • About You:

  • The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to learn new tasks quickly, be organised and work within a team environment.
  • Experience using OneSchool is highly regarded.
  • When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and knowledge of OneSchool is preferred.
  • Supports productive working relationships and communicates with influence. 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) including the ability to communicate messages clearly and concisely, to deliver quality service outcomes for the school community.
  • Displays personal drive and integrity and achieves results.
  • Performs under limited direction, with the capacity to develop the organisational skills and ability to manage multiple task, prioritise work demands and meet deadlines.
