    About the opportunity
    Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, the role of the HR Coordinator (Contracting Specialist) will provide practical advice and assistance on all matters relating to contractor (labour hire) management. This role will manage all compliance and audit processes associated with contracting and will engage internally and externally to promote the growth of HPG’s contracting capabilities. This role offers the flexibility to work from home and in the office based on your individual needs.

    Main duties/responsibilities:

  • Provide practical advice and assistance to internal colleagues and client line managers on matters relating to the management of contractors such as remuneration, awards, WHS, and employee relations issues.
  • Implement best practice for contracting management including awards, NES, contracts of employment, internal training documentation.
  • Generate employment contracts for new contractors, extensions, and rate changes.
  • Monitor contracts and liaise with consultants/clients/contractors to renew or extend.
  • Manage clients’ referral candidates. Be the point of contact for client and candidate.
  • Maintain regular communication with contractors, and clients throughout the contract period.
  • Attend meetings (on site or online) with consultants to meet with contractors and clients to conduct regular reviews (job satisfaction, performance).
  • Managing compliance and audit processes to ensure accuracy of all candidate and client contracting documentation; statutory and workplace compliance; and database integrity.
  • Manage and communicate all legislative and statutory changes, such as yearly super increases, minimum wage increases, etc.

  • Skills and Experience

  • HR qualification.
  • Previous experience within a similar role with an understanding of labour hire principles.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Modern Awards, Fair Work Act and any other employment & labour laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
