Your   Opportunity

As a Senior HR/IR Advisor, you will perform an important role supporting major constructions project in the resources sector whilst based in Perth. Your focus will be coordinating, advising and delivering HR/IR initiatives. You will support the project through the implementation of organisational change, provide guidance and advice on legislative changes, facilitate training, and build and maintain business relationships across the project.

This is a maternity leave coverage position and will be hired as a fixed term contract.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications (or working towards a degree) in IR/HR
  • Ability to implement HR initiatives to support the delivery of HR priorities
  • Coaching and development of line management
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret employment contracts and industrial instrument/s including knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace
  • Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Provide general coaching and advice to employees and leaders on ER/IR matters as required
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced team
  • Ability to travel to projects (if required)
  • Experience within the engineering/construction industry desirable
