Executive Content Producer – Internal Production Company Role

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Melbourne, Melbourne

Job Description

Job Description

Clemenger BBDO Australia is looking for an Executive Content Producer to join our talented team in Melbourne, to lead and grow our internal content production company.

Reporting to the National Head of Production, you will be a hands-on Senior Producer or EP who has a demonstrated track record of managing teams, growing business, and producing a broad range of content and small scale broadcast and social projects.

This is a production company producer role within our dedicated content department, rather than an agency role (you will work alongside our agency producers at Clemenger BBDO Australia).

Role:

  • As Executive Content Producer, you will be responsible for strengthening, developing, and overseeing the execution and management of the agency’s broadcast and content production department.
  • You will be tasked with ensuring the delivery of ‘best in breed’ productions across multiple touch-points in the broadcast space including complex and light touch content generation and all other forms of output.
  • You will set the standard by which your team members then follow and create a culture that is creative, constructive and fosters the best, most effective work possible for the agency and our clients.
  • You will also be required to fulfil day to day production management responsibilities on your assigned clients, with the support from the broader production team.
  • An estimated breakdown of your time being 20% department supervision and development and 80% production on jobs.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing creative support – keeping internal teams to date with new production techniques and market leading ideas, and actively engaging partners to ensure production reflects the highest possible creative and production values.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders
    • work collaboratively with the CCO and ECD’s to provide creative solutions and ensure workflow runs smoothly
    • Lead production team meetings and work closely with business management and Head of Production, advising on projects which are taking longer to produce or exceeding estimates (and suggest ways to improve the process)
    • Work with the National Head of Production to establish policies, procedures and standards for broadcast production in the agency and ensure these are adhered to by all staff.
  • Manage and allocate resources to jobs so work flows through the agency quickly and efficiently
  • Establish excellent relationships with external suppliers to ensure they provide the best level of service and are kept across status of jobs, costs and delivery deadlines.
  • Financial management of budgets/estimating
  • People management – responsible for line management of the team of content creators and support to the broarder national production team

Skills and experience:

  • Strong skills and experience in Broadcast Production Management and a strong knowledge of freelance crew/overflow content creators as required
  • Ability to research, recommend and implement new production processes and solutions that can increase efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to research and advise the management team of emerging technologies to realise greater efficiencies, additional income streams and an improved level of service
  • Oversee archiving and digital asset management to ensure longevity and ease of retrieval
  • Sound understanding of despatch methods
  • Ensure technical training is in place so the production team operates at maximum efficiency
