This role is based at our Eurofins ProMicro site in Welshpool Western Australia.

Job Description

• Prepare samples for analysis by mixing, blending and weighing, in accordance with the analytical method requirements.
• Perform routine microbiological analysis.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment/instruments.
• Stock rotation. 
• Ensure standard solutions, reagents, media and cultures are prepared and maintained at appropriate quantities and quality.
• Complete all quality control records in accordance with quality requirements and work instructions.
• Notify the Laboratory Manager/Signatory of “out of specification” results or any other testing issues (e.g. retest required, equipment calibration failure etc.).
• Complete and maintain all relevant training records.
   

Qualifications

Diploma in Science/Laboratory Techniques (or similar) or equivalent experience preferred. Tertiary qualifications not essential but will be valued. 

Additional Information

• Experience in a commercial laboratory will be an advantage.
• Experience in using different equipment/instrumental and sample preparation techniques
•  Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure
• Ability to work as part of a team or to work independently when required.
• Highly motivated with a professional attitude.
