Fixed Term Part Time
(minimum of 8 hrs per fortnight) 

We are seeking applications from nursing students who have completed their first year of Bachelor of Nursing to join our professional team. These temporary part time positions are available for an immediate start and includes working a rotating 7 day, 24 hour roster including participation in an on-call roster with the opportunity for additional hours. This role involves providing a diverse range of patient, resident and client support services in accordance with the Student Nurse Scope of Practice. The successful applicants will provide clinical nursing care, cleaning and housekeeping, food and beverage duties, transport and couriering, ward support and patient / resident / client support as identified by the supervising RN.

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:

• Undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing Student – second or third year
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and patient centred care.
• Well developed knowledgebase in the principals of Aseptic Non-Touch Technique (ANTT) and Infection Control Precautions
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to prioritise workload to ensure all tasks are completed in the required time frame

Desirable:

• Certificate in Basic First Aid
• Food Handling safety certificate
• Basic computer skills
• Current driver’s license
