About the role

Situated within the City’s Health and Regulatory Services (HRS) Branch, the position’s primary function is to coordinate the renewal processes and systems that are critical to the delivery of regulatory programs within the City’s HRS Branch. This includes the renewal of all licences ( food licences, advertising device licences), permits ( parking permits, roadside dining permits) and registrations ( dog registrations) administered by the HRS Branch.

Key Deliverables of the position include:

  •         Coordinate the process for HRS Branch licence and permit renewals
  •          Maintain and update renewal templates in line with stakeholder requirements
  •         Manage the schedule for licence and permit renewal tasks
  •          Liaise with stakeholders about timeframes with the renewal process.
  •          In consultation with relevant business areas ensure data errors affecting licence / permit issue and renewals processes are identified and corrected
  •          Coordinate with printing of licences and permits including liaising with the City’s Print House.
  •         Coordinate the import of renewal files into LGP Pathway.
  •         Ensure proof files have been received from print house for each print run and appropriately check the file.
  •         Conduct LGP Pathway testing.
  •         Ensure all stakeholders are updated in a timely manner through the renewal process.

About you

To be successful in the position, you will require:

  • Experience in coordinating regulatory renewal processes and systems.
  • System skills and experience – particularly in regulatory, document management and purchasing systems.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills and experience
  • A detailed understanding of or ability to learn the regulatory process required in licence renewals
  • Demonstrated people management skills, including an ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Experience and ability to provide a high-quality service to internal and external customers, deal with the general public, and promote a positive image of the Council.
