Job Description

Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, experienced individual to fill the position of  Senior Administration Support Officer  located inNgukurr, NT.

In this role, you will make a valuable contribution to the operations of the department through the provision of high-quality administrative support. You will be the go-to person for all inquiries from community members, other staff, government employees and visitors to the Community.

Additionally, you will work closely with the Council Services Manager and support other staff working in the office, manage internal and external relationships, assist with staff meetings, and a variety of other administrative tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Completion of accredited/industry-based training courses equivalent to a Certificate IV Business Administration, or knowledge and skills gained through on the job training.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills and/or training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with demonstrated experience liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Practical experience in administration, Local Government or remote service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to write non-standard correspondence, reports and/or submissions.
  • In this role, it is important that you have excellent interpersonal skills, be resilient and have the ability to motivate not only yourself but your team. You will be highly desired for your demonstrated experience and/or awareness of issues affecting people in remote Indigenous communities.

    In return for your hard work, you will be well-rewarded with a salary ranging from $62,958.47 to $69,177.78 per annum plus Superannuation. Additional benefits include 6 weeks annual leave plus leave loading, 10 days sick leave, salary packaging option, and relocation assistance up to $5000 and subsidised accommodation.
