The Opportunity

Due to the strong business results achieved and solid projected growth in the years ahead for Cemintel, we have an opportunity for a motivated marketer that wants to grow their experience as a Product Manager within the Cemintel portfolio.

Working within CSR’s flexible working arrangement, the successful candidate will have a balance between working from home, working from head office at North Ryde, and working from the CSR technical research centre at Wetherill Park.

Reporting to the Cemintel Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of a specific product portfolio whilst working across several cross-functional teams such as technical, supply chain, finance, and sales, to deliver on business strategy and growth targets.

You will be the voice of the customer and will be ensuring that customers’ needs, and pain points are understood and addressed in the NPD process.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Product Portfolio Management

– Project management of initiatives to ensure products, systems and solutions are market-ready, deliver on time, cost and adoption objectives in line with business strategy.

– Liaison and management of master data and pricing/SKU updates

– Review range periodically to make changes like extensions and deletions in response to sales volumes, customer demands and manufacturing optimisation

  • Product Planning
    • Analyse and understand market trends, competitor landscape, and compliances and regulations.
    • Plan and prepare product roadmap for continuous innovation and growth.
  • Marketing Planning
    • Liaison with the Technical Team and communication teams to deliver D&I Guides and other technical literature and documentation
    • Delivery of training for internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Team Contribution
    • Manage a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships in the pursuit of delivery, these may include technical, sales, finance, mar comms, manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate

  • Demonstrated experience managing a product or category portfolio
  • Have a clear passion for your product(s) and be able to demonstrate how you’ve translated that into value for the customer and the business
  • Proven track record in project management and product strategy implementation within a B2B or B2C market (experience across both would be viewed favourably)
  • You are a quick thinker and a doer who is action-oriented and loves working in fast-paced environments.
  • A positive, hands-on approach with a can-do attitude
  • Have a genuine interest in continually learning new things about the business, products, systems, and customer
  • An analytical person who is able to gather and understand market data and provide valuable insight back to the business to inform key decisions

Managing and influencing stakeholders is key to achieving the desired outcomes, so you will have a natural ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. These may include, but not be limited to, cross-functions, inter-team, across regions and customers.

Would be viewed favourably:

  • Construction industry experience, favourable but not essential
  • Technical building knowledge
