The Opportunity

MRS are currently calling for experienced Deputy College Heads.

Directly supporting the College Head, this position assumes the important responsibility of providing residential support, engagement and development activities within a residential community of university students at our Clayton or Peninsula campus.

In conjunction with other members of the Residential Support Team, your role will see you:

  • Providing support and advice to student residents
  • Assisting in the development and management of student leaders (Resident Advisers)
  • Attending and contributing to hall functions and activities on a regular basis
  • Responding to emergency and resident support issues
  • Assisting Residential Support Advisors with the implementation of orientation, resident support programs, and personal developmental programs for all residents
  • To be considered for this highly rewarding role, you will demonstrate relevant experience in a residential environment with a caring nature and interpersonal skills that will allow you to form strong professional relationships with colleagues and students, collaborating together to provide an excellent residential experience. You will possess sensitivity and flexibility to enable you to encourage cooperation and responsibility amongst residents to provide a warm, welcoming community.

    This position requires significant availability on weekends and outside normal business hours and you will be required to live on site, being available 48 weeks of the year.
