About the role

This is a specialist level role, responsible for assisting in the coordination and delivery of promotional and marketing activities for the Tourism, Business and Major Events department. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of brand, tactical campaigns and always on digital marketing activities across the BEDA websites, social media platforms, email marketing etc.

Your key responsibilities will include;

Support the Marketing Manager with input into the destination marketing strategy and project delivery for Brisbane from a consumer perspective, inclusive of Communications & PR;

Support the delivery of campaign management, implementation, measurement, reporting and budget control for the Tourism, Business & Major Events department;

Lead day-to-day management of internal and external marketing partners, including creative, graphic design, communications, media, research, activation, digital, and production;

Develop and oversee marketing partnership agreements ensuring deliverables are effectively managed, prioritised and meet deadlines;

Lead the implementation of activities that build the Brisbane destination brand, such as content curation and creation, management of influencer marketing collaborations and the maintenance of internal assets such as the Brisbane Toolkit, marketing collateral and presentations;

Lead the day-to-day management of consumer facing Visit Brisbane destination channels across website, email and social, including content planning and management, agency management, development of blogs and other editorial and the management of website performance;

Assist the Marketing Manager with marketing reporting, including monitoring campaign effectiveness, reviews, and recommendations; and

Work cooperatively and proactively with internal and external stakeholders with greater strategic objectives of BEDA in mind.

What you’ll bring

To be considered for this role, your background and qualifications must meet the following requirements;

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business or other related degree;

Minimum 3 years’ marketing experience, preferably gained in consumer marketing, either in a marketing agency or in-house;

Demonstrated experience executing marketing activities and campaigns through digital channels in a consumer facing environment;

Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, content creation, content marketing and social media;

Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and manage multiple projects;

Strong copywriting and proof-reading skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;

Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (required) and Adobe software (basic preferable), including use and maintenance of databases; and

Experience producing post project / campaign analysis and reports.
