The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Metalcorp business in our Kewdale Branch. Metalcorp is a leading rural Australian steel distributor, supplying brands for the land through our branches and stockists across Australia.

This exciting role will offer you variety each day, balancing the demands of warehousing and customer service. Typically, you’ll start your day with customer service responsibilities such as communicating with customers, resolving customer issues, and processing orders. You’ll then move on to your warehouse duties where you’ll operate a forklift to unload and unload deliveries, pick and pack customer orders, and perform general despatch duties. You will be provided with the training and support needed for you to learn all aspects of the role.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working a 38-hour week within the trading hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm. 

What Will You Do?

This role will offer variety and scope for an enthusiastic team player who enjoys the full spectrum of a busy workplace. In addition to general warehousing duties, you’ll be responsible for the following:

• processing and managing customer orders, quotes, and enquiries both face to face and over the phone
• efficient and accurate data entry and order taking, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner with systems being updated accordingly
• maintaining and enhancing relationships with external and internal customers including the Sales and Warehousing teams within the Branch, as well as within Orrcon Distribution Centre
• promoting and upholding a safe working environment
