Retail Postage Sorter

• Fixed term, part time opportunity until August 2023
• 2.00pm to 6.00pm Mon to Fri 20hrs per week
• 12 weeks paid training part time hours

About the role

As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through Australia Post’s delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to. In this role, you’ll:

• Working in our North Canberra Business Centre checking large volumes of mail and parcels
• Working as part of a team to ensure that mail and parcels are labelled, lodged and charged correctly.

What are we looking for? 

• Someone who can lift up to 16kg of mail and/or parcels on a repetitive basis and stand up for the duration of your shift
• A friendly, reliable and considerate personality – with a real knack for communicating and interacting with others
• A quick learner who can maintain a high standard of work
• Strong memory recall and hand / eye coordination abilities
• A commitment to Australia Post’s Occupational Health and Safety standards
• The flexibility to stay until the job’s done if need be – and a real desire to help the team.
