About us

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is an independent statutory authority responsible for the curriculum, assessment, teacher accreditation and regulatory standards in NSW schools, and accreditation of early childhood educators. NESA is responsible for developing policies and initiatives for evaluating and improving quality teaching and student learning across all schools and school sectors. NESA was formally established on 1 January 2017, in response to the need to adopt a more strategic and outward-looking focus, greater clarity of regulatory roles and responsibilities, and streamlined processes and systems.

About the role

Product Manager, Digital Curriculum is responsible for leadership and management of Kindergarten to Year 12 curriculum publication on the in collaboration with the Product Owner, Digital Curriculum. This role is also responsible for coordinating the development of online systems and processes for curriculum projects.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Gathering, analysing and prioritising project requirements from internal and external stakeholders to inform the ongoing development of the Digital Curriculum.
  • Working with the Product Owner, Digital Curriculum to direct the development team to build according to business and user requirements.
  • Recruiting, managing and developing Digital Curriculum officers.
  • Monitoring timelines and resource use in relation to syllabus publications and Division project plans.
  • Providing digital curriculum expertise to the Curriculum Reform Division and across NESA that reflects contemporary technology practice.
  • Providing advice and expertise to stakeholders to support the use of the Digital Curriculum in NSW schools.
  • Providing advice and briefings regarding NESA content management systems for syllabus development, publication and implementation matters.
  • Collaborating, communicating and working effectively with a range of NESA units and divisions to progress and resolve digital curriculum and assessment projects.
  • Essential Requirements

  • Experience in creating and administering programs, procedures and systems to support online publications. Demonstrated ability to provide sound leadership in the design and development of online materials.
