Suncorp Group’s Event Building Coordinator is accountable for proactively supporting the quality of repairs, contributing to claim cost control through accurate, specific and timely instructions to specialists as well as identification of rectification works for complex building matters, that balances customer needs and our business outcomes.

You will provide valuable insights on repairer performance, repair methodology and building issues for continuous improvement initiatives.

Through your interactions with internal and external stakeholders and supporting Claims Managers, Assessors and our Supply Chain on complex building matters, you will deliver brilliant service, providing customers with peace of mind during the claims process.

Regular Travel and deployment to events within Australia will be required.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver brilliant service when interacting with stakeholders and customers on the Claims Manager’s, Assessor’s or Repairer’s request
  • Review scope of work, quotes and specialist reports to ensure customer needs, policy conditions and business outcomes are balanced
  • Conduct quality activities and on-site audits of building repairs and rectification works, in line with  Suncorp’s frameworks and current building regulations
  • Support site inspections when required to ensure scope of works is adhered to, safe work practices are being implemented and quality repairs or rebuilds are being conducted or are ongoing or have been completed
  • Support the Claims Managers and Assessors by involving the right specialists and third parties at the right time to manage a claim efficiently and provide brilliant service
  • Proactively identify potential risks and mitigate where possible to avoid unnecessary escalation of a claim
  • Actively support others during major events and catastrophes, in line with the Event Response Plan

What you’ll bring

  • Current or expired builders’ licence
  • Extensive experience in residential building/renovation with extensive estimating
  • Scheduling and supervising trades and repairs experience
  • Residential building code knowledge
