Nursing Undergraduate Facilitator

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse ready to assume the responsibility of supporting nursing students during their clinical placement? An exciting career opportunity as an Undergraduate Facilitator awaits your application at Knox Private Hospital.

As part of a highly motivated team, you will play a key role in providing education, guidance, support and feedback to students during their placement.

The position will require flexibility in working shifts over the 24-hour period and rostering across the 7-day week.

As the Undergraduate Facilitator your responsibilities will include:

  • liaising between students, education providers and staff
  • completing formal assessments and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Promoting a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge

Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 20 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.

Our theatre complex has recently grown to 15 theatres including a Day Procedure Centre, Hybrid Theatre and supports a range of acute specialties including General, Endoscopy, Colorectal, Bariatric & Liver surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, Cardiac, Neuro, Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, ENT & Paediatric surgery

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration
  • Sound Clinical Knowledge
  • Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (TAE) (or working towards)
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
