  • Clerk Grade 9/10, salary relative to experience and ranges from $116,211 to $128,061 plus super

    Made up of collaborative, creative and committed people, our Place Management Team are seeking a Manager Events to plan, manage and coordinate the successful delivery of events and activations. The role works closely with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent, compliant, and timely events and activations across The Rocks and Darling Harbour, aligned to business priorities.

    What you’ll be doing

  • Project manage the requirements of Place Management NSW (PMNSW) led programs and projects, coordinating all elements of programming, design, stakeholder management and implementation and providing end to end delivery.
  • Lead the design and conceptualisation of PMNSW events and activations working with our Creative Agencies and marketing team.
  • Act as the key point of contact and facilitate requirements of third party event organisers, ranging from small community festivals, through to major commercial events to state significant events, and assist event organisers in navigating and meeting their operational requirements.
  • Manage working groups on allocated projects, ensuring timelines are established and met, budgets are managed and issues are escalated to the leadership team in a timely manner.
  • Provide expert advice on event planning, including regulations and guidelines and coordinate all event production, and logistics requirements to ensure the timely delivery of event milestones.
  • Manage compliance in relation to Development Applications and other consent processes, WHS, risk management, permits and environmental compliance.
  • Manage and monitor event budgets, including planning, scoping and costing and where appropriate forwarding reconciled accounts to the finance team for invoicing.
  • Manage event staff including external providers to deliver event activations including the preparation of event briefs, rostering, supervision and mentoring of casual staff, including the Facilities and Event Production provider
  • The ideal candidate

    You will have the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines ensuring attention to detail and delivery within time, cost and quality requirements.

    Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to influence event planning and delivery and ensure high levels of client satisfaction with event outcomes is key to this role.
