Product Manager – Hi-tech Coating Division

As a product manager you will be required to work across several key sections of our business.

Primarily you will be focused on the management of the new plant installation and training for the business unit. You will be part of an extensive national team, with involvement in strategic planning and marketing.

Your role will include the management of the coating production unit and its performance and liaising to ensure precision, quality and supply timelines are meet. 

The key competencies for this role will be:

• Design and oversee engineering products and systems, such as coatings for special tools manufacturing. Whilst building to European Standards a technical centre for R&D and production for tools for Aerospace and high precision machine tools.
• Recruitment and training of new staff for production and sales. Programming and inspection for new coatings range for defence and aerospace contractors.
• Maintain the highest level of precision in surface coatings manufacturing process in accordance with safety standards plus undertake an ISO9001 process implementation. 
• Updating and managing systems, products and training procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Design and development of coatings for special tools manufacturing to highest international standards.  

The key duties for this role will be:

• Develop, coordinate and oversee national sales and marketing strategies for new coatings range for defence and aerospace contractors.
• Consulting on engineering products, plans and processes to ensure compliance with production requirements.
• Manage production staff and liaise on scheduling.
• Develop and oversee national sales and marketing strategies.
• Detect, assess and manager opportunities and risks.
• Maintain the overall productivity and performance of the production unit through purposeful engineering management and quality control.
• Develop and manage budgets together with the directors.
