About the Role

The After-hours Supervisor will ensure the effective delivery of care to our patients across a 27 bed Surgical Unit, 30-bed Rehab Unit and 20 Cot Early parenting Centre. This key position will prove big enough to challenge you but small enough to make a real impact and deliver a personal touch.

You will lead a passionate team of nurses and collaboratively work and consult with on-shift doctors to ensure best practice and patient outcomes are achieved. You will be responsible for:

  • The efficient and effective operational management of the hospital after-hours
  • Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of care practices, policies, and processes
  • Work with and support shift leaders and clinical managers
  • Ensure excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements

About You

You are a positive and effective leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Along with your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you can successfully engage, motivate, and influence others.

You will also bring:

  • Relevant registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience within Acute Care
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in clinical practice
  • Post-graduate studies in an appropriate specialty or management qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Ability to coordinate and motivate a large team of clinical and non-clinical professionals

To be successful you will need to be available during to work a 7-day rotating roster across evening/night shifts.

Remuneration

A base hourly rate of $58.00 per hour + superannuation + penalties based on experience level and qualifications (EBA Grade 5 21-200 beds).

Requirements

Everyone who joins Ramsay:

  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19, a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
