Opportunity

As Nurse Manager you are responsible for the clinical oversight and quality of nursing supports within Community Services. In this role you will manage a team of passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to deliver direct nursing supports to customers residing in homes across the Perth Metro. You will further provide clinical leadership to the Community Services Team to inform the holistic provision of care through consultation, policy development and contribution to relevant committees. As our new Nurse Manager you will oversee the Management of clinical care at Bradford Views as the named licence holder for, a contemporary 20 bed, 24 hour facility licensed under the Health Department. This exciting opportunity is a 12-month Maternity Leave cover with the possibility of extension.

How you’ll make a difference 

As our new Nurse Manager, you will:

  • Have the opportunity to influence the design and delivery of the clinical care model and deliver relationship based clinical care
  • Guide clinical excellence and preventative health for people with disability
  • Lead the Regional Health Lead RN team in the delivery of community nursing to AWA customers
  • Contribute to internal sub-committees and customer risk focussed groups where clinical input is required
  • Have the opportunity to engage in relevant professional health networks and contribute to the sector
  • Apply your expertise in NDIS funded disability related nursing supports
  • Ensure clinical services are delivered in accordance with the Quality and Safeguarding practise standards across all of our customers
  • Work closely with our Nurse Coordinator to ensure compliance with our LARU licence across our Bradford Views properties
  • Contribution to the development of policies and procedures related to clinical practice

About You

  • Current registration in the category of Registered Nurse by AHPRA
  • Current advanced clinical nursing skills with the ability to provide contemporary nursing supports for customers with complex support needs
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills; able to consult with a wide range of people
  • Maintains consistent records for reporting and auditing purposes
  • Experience of NDIS or working in the disability sector highly regarded but not essential
  • Experience of leading a team of RN and EN direct reports

What we are looking for

If successful through the recruitment process, we will need the below to have you start:

  • National Police Clearance no older than 6 months
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • NDIS Worker Screening check
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
