As the Senior data scientist, you’ll lead the way in using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques to enable Allianz Australia to deliver better customer outcomes, automate processes and make optimal business decisions which deliver real organisational value.
You’ll be responsible for:
Analysing large datasets of both structured and unstructured data to discover trends and patterns Developing expert end to end, data driven and AI solutions Investigating new methodologies and contribute to the technical expertise in the team Identifying opportunities for innovation through analytics and AI in Allianz Deploying modelling solutions, applying systematic test plans and quality assurance processes to ensure quality and integrity. Creating user and training documentation for deployed solutions Working in a cross functional capacity to understand key business problems and propose solutions Mentoring, educate and inspire others within team on the value of data science methods and best practice Working collaboratively with broader Data office team to ensure robust, scalable and sustainable advanced analytics solutions are delivered that solve business problems Important to your success:
Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics 5+ year’s experience in a Data Scientist role, applying Data Science Methods to solve business problems within a commercial setting Experience in using data mining, statistical methods and machine learning techniques Expert in programming across one or more of R, Python and SQL Experience in leading analytics projects and making commercial business decisions Previous experience mentoring junior data scientists Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity to provide pragmatic commercial solutions which meet stakeholder expectations Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communication with audience at all levels with clarity, impact and influence Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, manage complex projects into work packages and competing resources and demands What’s on offer?
