Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant 

  • Employment Type: 35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Duration: 1 year Fixed Term (Potential to extend)
  • Remuneration: From $112K Base +17% Superannuation and leave loading
  • Location:  Kensington, NSW (Hybrid Flexible Working, 2/3 days in the office)

UNSW has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant to join UNSW a top 20 employer in Australia. In this key role within our team, you will provide a collaborative, solutions and customer focussed approaches, to help support defined business units within our Divisional Operational Area. 

The areas you will be supporting include but are not limited to: Finance, Human Resources, Planning and Assurance, and the Division of External Engagement to name but a few, and this role will see you working closely with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across all of those areas. You will be the primary point of contact, assist and consult closely with our hiring managers on the full end-to-end recruitment process, all associated recruitment activities and candidate care in line with UNSWs policies. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the broader Talent Team on innovative projects and process improvements.

Why Your Role Matters:

  • Deliver an effective end-to-end recruitment process, primarily for mid to senior management level roles, ensuring a positive and seamless recruitment experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Delivering strong account management for client groups and monitoring KPI’s and client satisfaction.
  • Provide recruitment and selection advice to clients, stakeholders and peers regarding (not limited to): attraction and advertising strategies, candidate management, behavioural interviewing, reference checking, and pre-employment checks.
  • Provide excellent candidate management throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Use of a broad range of mediums to engage candidates including social media, internet sourcing, database searches etc for active and passive candidates.
  • Undertake additional sourcing of passive candidates via networking, direct approaches (headhunting), search committees and research.
  • Where appropriate provide search services for critical and hard to fill roles, work with clients to identify their leadership/professional recruitment needs and develop appropriate recruitment strategies.
  • Participate in the delivery of Recruitment and Selection training to support all stakeholders.
  • Adherence to UNSW legal and regulatory compliance and recruitment best practice frameworks
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced consultants and staff within the team. 
  • Take job briefs, prepare and post strategic job advertisements, advising hiring managers on market insight, recruitment policies and processes.
  • Respond to queries from candidates/clients and maintain UNSW’s RMS system PageUp
  • Prepare reference checks, background checks and offer letters

Who You Are:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience of a minimum 8 years and demonstrable expertise as
    a recruitment consultant with a mix of agency and in-house exposure
  • Demonstrated success in a Senior Recruitment Consultant role with exposure to recruiting at mid to
    senior management level roles with a demonstrated expertise of Executive Search methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing recruitment for Senior Executive positions via networking, market
    mapping and talent pooling, experience working in end to end recruitment, including on-boarding and
    induction.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in delivery of contemporary recruitment, selection and talent pool
    attraction strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing a positive culture of candidate care and client care managing expectations to influence positive outcomes with highly developed problem solving and analytical skills.
