The Position:
  
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will partner with hiring managers to develop innovative sourcing strategies, provide best practice recruitment and take a ‘hands on’ partnering approach to service delivery. This is a role you can make your own, develop something cutting edge and put your mark on all things talent.
  
Reporting to the HR Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively support functional recruitment across client group.
  • Effectively use the Applicant Tracking System (JobAdder) and other software solutions to optimise the recruitment process.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers on recruitment by ensuring candidate care is maintained to a high standard. Including regular follow-ups with hiring managers to ensure requisitions are actively managed.
  • Ensure candidate compliance including reference checking, criminal history screening and pre-employment assessments are completed in a timely manner.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify current and future personnel needs.
  • Provide regular input into job advertising, including job boards, careers pages and social networks.
  • Facilitate Assessment Centres with key operational leaders.
  • Proactively build strong and trusting relationships with key stakeholders across the business and wider People and Culture team.
  • Participate in recruitment events and job fares to network with potential candidates in-person.
  • Network with Employment Providers and Education providers to develop key partnerships, placements and programs.
  • Support diversity and inclusion recruitment projects.
  • Utilise data analytics to inform recruitment activities, such as time to fill and candidate attraction.
  • Provide onboarding support for new hires so there is a smooth transition for new employees from the Recruitment phase through to on-boarding.
  • Upholds the Archdiocese’s commitment to safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults at all times.
  • Supports the Archdiocese’s contribution to Reconciliation by identifying opportunities for First Nations Australia people.

Work Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience developing local recruitment strategies.
  • 3 years + agency or internal recruitment.
  • Proficiency in managing administrative tasks for recruitment/ talent acquisition and onboarding processes within a commercial organisation.
  • Understanding of full cycle recruiting.
  • Experience using HRIS/ATS systems for candidate tracking, onboard and payroll.
  • Strategic thinking with good communication, who is comfortable implementing new ideas and seeing them through.
  • National Police record check (essential).
  • Valid Working with Children clearance (essential).
  • Ability to work across different locations.
