As our proactive and seasoned Contact Centre Sales Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with some of our biggest customers with responsibility for driving Contact Centre and Customer Experience sales and revenue growth. This role is part of and supported by a national team who work with Telstra direct sales teams, industry leading partner channels and through direct sales presence within Telstra Enterprise customers of all sizes.

As a sales specialist you’ll have various accountabilities, however key focuses include:

  • Drive demand creation and pipeline build across the Enterprise portfolio

  • Collaborate with the sales teams to develop solutions aligned to customer’s requirements

  • Participate in sales strategy development in conjunction with the Workplace leads, Client Executives and big deal leads

  • Work with, and at times lead a virtual team including pricing, legal & technical experts, to ensure the successful execution of large sales opportunities

  • Keep up to date with Telstra product developments and industry trends, and deliver sales enablement sessions to direct sales and Partners

  • Work with Product & Technology and key vendors to provide the ’voice of the customer’ to ensure roadmap developments meet customer requirements

  • Work with Marketing to deliver customer events and webinars, highlighting Telstra’s credentials in the Contact Centre space

We’re looking for an individual to hit the ground running, so it’s important you demonstrate the below:

  • A track record in sales of Contact Centre Solutions across multiple Industries and opportunity size

  • Achievement of yearly sales and revenue targets

  • Deep expertise in sales of Contact Centre technologies

  • Clear demonstration of understanding sales tactics and strategies

  • Solid sales experience in complex business environments where management of internal stakeholders is paramount

  • Strong ability to build relationships with a variety of key internal and external stakeholder groups, with a proven capacity to build strategic alliances

  • Background in selling AI technologies for contact centres is an advantage

  • Generally, you should have been in your current role at least 12 months (Band 2 – 4) / 18 months (Band 1) before applying for a role internally, unless you have approval from your current 1-up manager.

  • Existing managers will support an employee moving internally, provided they meet the 12month (Band 2 – 4) / 18 month (Band 1) minimum service in their current role. However, if there are extenuating circumstances, the Principal or Executive of the gaining and releasing areas will negotiate and make the final decision on when / whether the employee is released, depending on operational or business requirements and demands.
