About the Team

Our Legal and Governance team delivers legal and risk management and robust corporate governance. The company Secretariat function sits within this team and distils the complexity of business and Board into a digestible format and assists in the navigation of the governance structure to deliver improvement initiatives and enhance the effectiveness of the interface between management and the Board and its Committees.

About the role

You will work with our Company Secretary to deliver a robust governance and company secretariat framework for the EnergyAustralia group entities and joint ventures, shareholder and management.

This role is a 12-month parental leave cover contract and is available on a full time or part time basis (approx. 30 hours a week).

  • Company Secretarial functions including governance document review and application, minute preparation, work plans, schedules, meeting schedules and agendas
  • Management of the subsidiary company director framework, including EnergyAustralia Corporate Structure
  • Internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Continuous Improvement of governance processes
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Project Support
  • Update the online and web based corporate records
  • About You:

    To be successful in this role, you will be Tertiary qualified with at least a diploma of Corporate Governance or equivalent company secretarial practice and have gained experience in a company secretarial role within a ASX listed mid to large organisation.

  • Strong organisational skills with a proven ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and confidence to be able to respond clearly to queries and questions
  • Proven ability to interpret regulatory obligations and governance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a small team and across a large organisational structure
  • Experience using on-line or web-based board portals and corporate records management solutions
