Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) has a rare opportunity for a Digital Marketing Officer to join the Marketing and Engagement team within Business Operations. This team is responsible for creating value for EDQ customers and stakeholders by raising awareness of our places, driving demand for projects, activating our precincts and delivering effective, accessible and transparent engagement processes. 

As a Digital Marketing Officer, reporting to the Senior Marketing and Engagement Officer, you will work across various projects to provide high quality, professional and efficient digital marketing services, and support community and stakeholder engagement. To succeed in this role, you will possess skills in the following areas: • WordPress front end development (e.g. building feedback and contact forms, building complex interactive maps using Google Maps plugins and geospacial data, installing and using third-party plug-ins). • Implementation of search engine optimisation techniques on websites, with a solid understanding of the principles used by search engine ranking algorithms to rank organic content. • Google Data studio reporting and XML feed development, with experience syncing spreadsheets; Facebook/Instagram analytics, news feeds, and other common marketing reporting platforms.• Providing technical advice and analysis using Google Analytics. • Managing and connecting to Facebook and LinkedIn advertising platforms. • Basic HTML5 and Javascript coding, with the ability to create basic applications and database queries. • Conversion rate optimisation to increase website leads. • A basic level of UX design, with the ability to create contemporary web and digital experiences. • Application and management of corporate identity standards across all digital and visual outputs.• Strong communication skills and the ability to elicit business requirements from stakeholders, and interpret requirements into digital outcomes. • Time management and prioritisation skills, and the ability to independently and effectively manage workflow. • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while actively engaging in a team environment and positive culture, by demonstrating our core values, celebrating success, and committing to continued learning and development.
