OUR CLIENT

Is a locally owned and operated foodservice distributor. They service the hospitality and foodservice industry on the Sunshine Coast with quality food products from Australia’s leading manufacturers.

 

THE ROLE

Under the guidance of management, to work with team members and customers to deliver great service, a profitable company and a pleasant environment.

To develop relationships with existing and new customers to generate ongoing and increased sales at targeted margins.

To provide customers and prospects with prompt and friendly help, information and service.To make it easy for customers to do business with us. To identify opportunities to cross sell and up sell. To process these orders in a quick and accurate manner.

Car and phone provided.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Introduce new lines to customers
  • Collect outstanding monies at the customers request
  • Serve customers at warehouse where appropriate
  • Advise clients on specials and promotions
  • Take customer orders
  • Provide prompt friendly advice and service
  • Provide clients with updated information and prices
  • Call new and or prospective clients to promote business opportunities
  • Liase with sales reps of suppliers
  • Be aware of customer purchase details (order sheet to be printed)
  • Maintain customer details
  • Collect customer feedback – good and bad – and address this feedback
  • Call on customers regularly
  • Follow up an any outstanding quotes quickly
  • Complete daily sales report to Sales Manager
  • Deliver stock where necessary
  • Source non-stock items for clients
  • Pull orders if appropriate
  • Be aware of credit/payment status of clients
  • Work as a team.
  • Sell at the best possible margins 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a positive “can do” attitude
  • Strive to give great customer service at all times
  • Maintain open, honest and constructive communications (internal and external)
  • Observe and adhere to Company policy and procedure
  • Respond immediately to customer needs and attend to all appointments on time
  • Be able to handle any client complaints in a professional, courteous manner
  • Be honest and upfront
