The company is a well-known global chemical company currently undergoing substantial growth. Located in the western suburbs of Melbourne, this company manufactures chemical products for the Australian and international markets.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a QC Chemist who displays initiative and is self-motivated. This role is in a fast-paced environment and requires someone with good attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, this role will ensure all products are of a high standard and comply with Australian regulations.

This role involves 12-hour shifts across 3/4 days per week

Skills & experience:

As a QC Chemist your daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Testing finished products by a variety of basic wet chemical techniques
• Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting instruments
• Data entry & database upkeep
• General Laboratory housekeeping

To be successful in this position you will have:

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry, or a related discipline
• Ideally 1-2 years of laboratory experience
• Are a quality-focused individual with excellent attention to detail, have good communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
