About the Opportunity

Are you studying towards an IT qualification? Do you want to build on your current IT experience? Georges River Council is seeking a dedicated Casual Information Management Technology (IMT) Assistant to join our dynamic and busy IMT team while you continue to develop your IT experience.

  • Hourly rate from $29.92 to $34.67 plus casual loading and 10.5% superannuation

We are looking for people that are willing to support the Information Management and Technology teams to deliver activities of Council through the provision of Technology support across all areas of Council. Daily duties may include:

  • Analyse, classify, register documents and distributing all forms of incoming correspondence in line with Council procedures.
  • Provide basic technical support to internal staff on application software.
  • General administrative, clerical and word processing tasks.
  • Contribute to some key IMT projects currently underway.

What We’re Looking for:

  • You must have a commitment to a high standard of customer service.
  • You must have excellent interpersonal, communication (written & oral) and be a team player.
  • You must be willing to learn and use electronic business applications.
  • Openness and willingness to change and continually improve business processes.
  • Must be fully vaccinated (minimum 2 doses) with an approved COVID-19 vaccine and provide Council with evidence of vaccination, or an accepted certified medical contraindication. Council reserves the right to confirm the validity of contraindications in accordance with NSW Health guidelines, and to direct a Worker to undertake an independent medical examination in relation to the issuance of a medical contraindication certificate.
