  • Due to an internal staff promotion, we are seeking a dynamic team member to join the DVC (Education) Office as we move forward with UWA 2030
  • Two ongoing positions available – one full-time and one part-time (negotiable FTE)
  • Base salary range: Level 7 $92,679 – $102,830 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

About the team

The principal role of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) is to lead and oversee a diverse portfolio supporting the educational activities of the University.

About the opportunity

As the appointee you will, under limited direction, provide senior administrative, planning and executive support to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), leading the establishment and maintenance of briefing processes, office systems, policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations as part of a dynamic and fast paced team. 

About you 

To succeed in this role, it is critical you possess administrative experience at a senior level and show outstanding organisation skills.  You should also possess experience supporting committees, preparing and editing briefing notes, and be able to show excellent writing skills.  A track record of successfully designing and streamlining processes would be highly regarded, as would prior experience managing correspondence for senior executives.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency
  • Substantial and extensive relevant senior administrative experience at an appropriate level
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
  • Experience providing executive officer support to committees and other meeting groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and consultation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, demonstrated ability to contribute to long term planning and strategic direction, and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing a high level of quality customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
