    The Hospitality Coordinator will be responsible for the efficient delivery and coordination of all functions and events at the Hospital. In addition, the role will also provide support to our food services outlets and administration.

    As a hands-on leader, you will supervise and coordinate functions and front of house activities, liaise with all internal and external clients to ensure all aspects of the functions are detailed accurately and provide support to the hospital’s digital meal ordering systems, online loyalty programs and digital food safety.

    Although a predominately Monday-Friday position, there will be the occasional requirement for weekend functions.

    What makes a difference for us?

    You will need:

  • Entry level food safety for the Health & Community sector – HLTFSE001
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • Experience in a supervisory role in a food services environment providing customer service
  • Experience managing conference catering, corporate events and cocktail functions
  • Demonstrated understanding and competencies in manual handling training, chemical use, hand hygiene and food safety 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
  • Good time management skills and ability to use initiative and adaptability
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate – desirable but not essential
  • Certificate III in Hospitality – desirable but not essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in Functions and Events – desirable but not essential
  • Please note, this role requires a degree of physical fitness. This may include lifting equipment and/or pushing trolleys throughout the kitchen and hospital environment.
