Specifically built for hosting Corporate Conferences, Weddings and Gala Events, the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre offers 7 different event spaces catering for small and large groups.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as an Event Coordinator. You will support the Event Manager in leading and assisting the team throughout setting up, packing down and execution of service during all conferences and events. You may be required to brief the team at the beginning of events and provide each team member with required direction throughout the event.

You will provide excellent communication skills and attention to detail, have F&B experience in the events industry, and excellent time management.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you must have the following knowledge, experience and attributes: 

  • 3+ years experience in events
  • Fantastic customer service and communication skills
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry and Food and Beverage waiting
  • Experience in overseeing event operations
  • Certified Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Team orientated but also able to work autonomously
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • A current valid driver’s licence
  • The ability to work a rotating roster across a 7-day working week including early mornings, late nights and weekends
  • The ability to manage and lead a team in order to ensure an excellent service to all guests
  • Immaculate presentation and advanced communication skills
  • The ability to make decisions under pressure
