Marketing Partnerships Lead

Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Marketing Partnerships Lead based in Canberra with Australia’s largest independent media organisation. 

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Partnerships Lead will work with Australian

Community Media’s (ACM) regional news brands across all states. You will be responsible for building brand awareness and strengthening the connection of our news brands

with our communities and audiences through engagement and activations including

partnerships with national and local events/organisations. With a particular focus on ACT, southern and central west of NSW, your marketing activity will feed into the broader marketing goals for ACM to grow audiences and revenue.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying, reviewing and evaluating event and partnership opportunities to grow ACM news brands and consumer revenue
  • Negotiation, preparation and execution of sponsorship/contra agreements
  • Assist with end-to-end management of ACM owned, run or sponsored events
  • Create design briefs and manage the asset development of print and digital campaigns
  • Assist with organisation of schedules, design and production of advertising and
  • promotional material

  • Manage both internal and external stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes for
  • ACM and meet the agreed outcomes for our partners

  • Represent the company at functions and events
  • Travel will be required on a regular basis within the regions responsible 
  • A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle will be required – appropriate compensation will be provided for travel expenses incurred. 
  • As our preferred applicant, you will have:

  • Formal marketing qualifications and/or minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Be able to deal effectively with people and function as a team player
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work well
  • under pressure

  • Have sound negotiation skills for win-win outcomes
  • The more detailed experience we find desirable would be:

  • Work with Marketing automation platforms 
  • Email and digital marketing build and execution
