The Role

  • Assistant in Nursing

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively individually and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Shifts are Morning 0700 to 1500, Afternoon 1445 to 2245, Night 2240 to 0710.
  • Location is in Chipping Norton – there is limited public transport to this area.
  • During the day, staff will be working with the support of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Team Leader. Afternoon and Night shifts, staff work in isolation with responsibility for up to 4 clients. Clients behaviour is well managed and reflects the need to only have one staff on shift, supported by our on call specialist.
  • Staff are not required to attend to full personal care but rather prompt clients and provide minimal assistance and guidance as required
  • Staff are responsible for administering medication via Webster packs.
  • Assistance with meal preparation is required and therefore staff should be able to prepare meals or provide guidance and support to clients preparing meals. This will include preparation and handling of meat.
  • Driving clients to and from Liverpool as well as on outings is a work requirement. Staff will need to be confident and safe drivers and are required to drive a Kia Carnival van.
  • Communication skills are essential to the position as staff will be passing on information both verbally (to the multidisciplinary team) and in writing (emails, electronic medical record) as well as communicating with clients.
  • Skills & Experience

  • Relevant Cert III or Cert IV/2 Clinical Placements completed
  • Flexible availability to work days, evenings and nights
  • Minimum of 12 months recent paid experience working as an AIN or 2 Clinical Placement if BON Undergrad
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Australia Work Rights
  • Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to undertake one)
  • Vaccination records
