Nursing – Management – Mcarthur

McArthur is currently recruiting a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Community Specialist Palliative Care Service for our client based in Barton, ACT.

The Community Specialist Palliative Care Service provides clinical assessment and planning to people with a terminal illness with an aim of improving their quality of life and providing them with care at home during end of life. The CNC coordinates the care of all non-admitted palliative care patients through the Palliative Care Outpatient Clinics, Home Based Palliative Care and the Residential Palliative Aged Care Consultancy Service. Within the prescribed legislation the CNC provides proficient clinical, management, quality and safety and education leadership to the nursing team and is responsible for the total patient care and operational activities within the service.

Our client is looking for someone with extensive experience in clinical, operational and change management within a complex health care environment.

The successful person will have the following skill sets:

• A minimum of 5 years post grad acute clinical experience
• Excellent communication skills, including the effective negotiation and conflict resolution
• Ability to liaise effectively with diverse external and internal stakeholder’s
• Ability to perform at an advanced level or nursing practice
• Registered or eligible to register as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
