    The opportunity 

    The Community Engagement & Volunteer Officer supports the Line Manager through highly effective community engagement in support of program and client growth. This includes the active promotion of Red Cross programs and volunteering opportunities, and taking a lead in the recruitment, retention, engagement, and recognition of volunteers within a region.

    The incumbent will also work closely with the national engagement and volunteering team and SA volunteering functional team including to support compliance activities, develop recruitment and retention programs and otherwise be a part of making volunteering with Red Cross a positive experience.

     What you will bring  

  • Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of volunteer recruitment and management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Focus on relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with volunteers within community services sector
  • Experience working with people with diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience of aged care issues
