The Gold Coast SUNS and Heritage Bank Stadium are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Stadium Events and Operations Assistant to join their team on a 12-month contract.

This role will provide the Stadium Events & Operations team with support in event day planning, management and delivery of all stadium events including AFL/AFLW events, international & domestic cricket, concerts & festivals, as well as community and corporate events.

A key component of this role is managing our casual pool of customer experience officers which includes recruitment, training, rostering and engagement initiatives. This position will also play a lead role in managing the day-to-day administration and communication of the Stadium Management office.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in relation to each of the below Selection Criteria:

1-2 years’ experience in stadium and/or event management with a general understanding of the operational requirements in planning and delivering a successful event

Experience with managing and rostering a casual workforce (highly desirable)

Previous database experience with the ability to pick up new systems quickly

Strong computer skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

Excellent customer service and communications skills, both written and verbal

First class attention to detail and a high work ethic

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and tight deadlines

Experience in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work outside of business hours and on weekends
