Our purpose is to create thriving communities where older Australians live the life they choose in their own home. RetireAustralia currently operates a portfolio of 29 established villages throughout New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

The Position

Due to an internal promotion we are seeking an Assistant Regional Operations Manager to assist our Senior Leadership team to lead, drive and support our team of Managers based at our villages in South Australia.  This role reports to the Manager of Regional Operations and will focus on developing and supporting Managers to deliver an improved level of operational performance to both residents and stakeholders, and driving and executing change to expand our service offering. Travel will be required at certain times of the year depending on needs of the business.

In supporting the leadership of our Village Managers you will play a pivitol support/leadership role in the following areas;

•        The total operational and financial performance of each of the Villages within your portfolio.

•        Ensuring all villages abide by the Retirements Villages Act (State) and other relevant legislative requirements, along with all RetireAustralia policies and procedures.

•        Responsible for the overall ‘look and feel’ of the Villages and ensuring residents are supported and secure in their village community.

•        Assisting with the execution of marketing initiatives, community engagement and awareness, promotions and events of the South Australian villages to ensure all targets and objectives are delivered.

•        Collaborating with other departments, any external contractors, village and corporate staff to ensure approved company scopes are followed, budgets are adhered to and processes followed at all times.

•        Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all Village Residents’ Committees, Residents, their families and the community and services providers.

     •        Developing each Manager’s capabilities by creating a high performing team that will effectively implement change and enable them to achieve targets and business growth.

To achieve these responsibilities, you will engage with other business functions by working closely with Sales Administration, Finance and People and Culture teams. 

About You!

To be successful in this role, the person we seek must have:

•        A valid Police check no older than 6 months from date of issue

•        A current First Aid Certificate with current CPR;

•        At least 2 years post-graduate operational middle-management experience with demonstrated ability to provide inclusive and decisive leadership in a similar role in either Retirement, Property, Retail, Clinical or Hospitality sectors

•        Previous experience managing multiple locations

•        Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

•        Strong commerciality with demonstrated experience in business and operational planning and management.

•        Demonstrated ability to analyse and present financial reports.

•        Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable strong rapport with various stakeholders

•        Superior communication and interpersonal skills.

•        A strong focus on results and client satisfaction.

•        High levels of energy and initiative.

•        A demonstrated commitment to ongoing improvement and a strong desire to grow within our organisation
